Lindy AI alternatives: 8 options by job, and what each one bills for

A Lindy AI alternative for every job: Zapier Agents, n8n, Gumloop, Relevance AI, Apollo, Salesforge, AiSDR and Outbound Labs, with a cost for 500 prospects.

Short answer

The best Lindy alternative depends on the job. Zapier Agents, n8n and Gumloop suit general automation, and Relevance AI suits custom sales agents. For outbound that finds prospects and sends email, look at an AI SDR such as AiSDR, Salesforge's Agent Frank or Outbound Labs. Apollo fits teams that mainly want data and sequencing.

Key takeaways

  • Pick by job first. Lindy is a general assistant, so an alternative for inbox work is a different product from an alternative for cold email.
  • Every option bills in a different unit: credits, activities, executions, Actions, contacts or emails. Only the last two map to outbound results.
  • Contacting 500 prospects a month is anywhere from about $10 to $5,000 on Lindy's published credit bands, $750 on AiSDR pay-as-you-go, and $499 on Agent Frank. Those are published figures and our arithmetic, not tests.
  • Nearly every Lindy alternatives page is written by a company selling a rival, including this one. Prices here come from vendor pages read on 2026-11-01.

Search for a Lindy alternative and you get a wall of listicles from companies that sell one. Gumloop has one, so do Taskade, Sintra, Viktor, Dench and Open.cx. We're no different: Outbound Labs sells an AI SDR and it's on the list below. So prices here come from each vendor's own pricing page, read on 2026-11-01, and we haven't run any of these tools for this post. What we can add is a sort by job, one billing basis, and a worked cost for outbound. For Lindy itself, start with our Lindy AI review.

Why do people look for a Lindy alternative?

The usual reasons are credit costs that are hard to predict, a one-time trial instead of a free plan, and wanting an agent that does something Lindy isn't built for, like running outbound. The first two are about price. The third is about fit, and no cheaper assistant fixes it.

Lindy's pricing page shows $50 in free credits that last 7 days, then Team from $49.99 a month for 5,000 credits. A task costs 2 to 250 credits for an everyday ask, 250 to 1,000 for deep work and 1,000 to 2,500 for a big build, so one task can cost 1,250 times another. It also lists 2 to 5 inbox connections and says anything with outside impact waits for approval. Nothing on that page mentions a contact database or warm-up.

Which Lindy alternative fits which job?

Lindy is used for three different jobs, and each has different alternatives. Moving from Lindy to Zapier fixes an automation problem. It does nothing for a prospecting problem. Decide which job you are hiring for before you compare prices.

JobWhat you needOptions here
Personal or team assistantInbox, calendar, meeting follow-ups, light tasksStay on Lindy, or Zapier Agents
Workflow automation you buildTriggers, many app connectors, control over stepsZapier Agents, n8n, Gumloop, Relevance AI
Outbound salesProspect data, warmed mailboxes, copy, approvals, reply handlingApollo, Salesforge, AiSDR, Outbound Labs

If a reviewer tells you an automation platform "can do outbound", ask where the contacts and the sending mailboxes come from. With a general platform, you build or buy both.

How does each Lindy alternative bill?

Each one meters something different, which is why monthly prices don't compare. Lindy bills credits, Zapier Agents bill activities, n8n bills workflow executions, and Relevance AI bills Actions. Only the outbound tools bill by contact or email, the units that map to a campaign. Here is the unit and the entry price each vendor shows.

OptionBilling unitEntry price shown by vendor (2026-11-01)Bill predictable?

Outbound LabsEmailsGrowth $149/month, 5,000 emails; 750 emails freeHigh

The "predictable" column is our judgement, based on whether the unit is something you can count before you start. You can count 500 prospects. You can't count how many credits a research step will burn until you've run it.

What does it cost to contact 500 prospects a month?

Using published prices, contacting 500 people a month ranges from about $10 to $5,000 on Lindy, $750 on AiSDR pay-as-you-go, $499 on Agent Frank and $149 on Outbound Labs. The Lindy range is wide because we only have its credit bands, not a measured cost per lead. These are our calculations, not test results.

OptionOur arithmeticMonthly cost for 500 prospects
Lindy2 credits per lead at $0.01 is $0.02; 1,000 credits per lead is $10 (bands from Lindy's pricing page)About $10 to $5,000, drafts only
AiSDR pay as you go500 x $1.50$750
Salesforge Agent Frank$499 includes 2,000+ contacts a month, which Salesforge prices at $0.25 per contact$499 (plan minimum)
Salesforge Pro$40 includes 1,000 active contacts and 5,000 emails; you supply list, copy and mailboxes$40 plus your own inputs
Outbound LabsAssume a 3-email sequence: 1,500 emails, inside Growth's 5,000$149, plus data billed by the provider

The three-email assumption is ours; change it in the AI SDR ROI calculator with your own numbers. Notice what the table can't show: cost per meeting. A $40 tool that books nothing is more expensive than a $750 one that books five. Our AI SDR pricing page lists what we charge, and our Lindy review shows the credit bracket in more detail.

Is Zapier Agents a good Lindy alternative?

For automation across many apps, Zapier is the most common switch. Its Agents add-on is billed in activities, not tasks, and its pricing page counts a trigger, a search, an action or a browse as one each. Free includes 400 activities a month, Pro includes 1,500, and a single run is capped at 40 activities on paid plans.

That per-run cap is a useful guardrail, since the agent asks before it continues. The limit is the same as Lindy's: Zapier gives you a way to build, not a list of prospects. Zapier's own task plans run from Free (100 tasks) to $19.99 a month for 750 tasks billed annually (Zapier pricing). Choose it when you already live in Zapier and your task is "when X happens, do Y".

Is n8n worth it as a Lindy alternative?

If you have someone technical, yes. n8n counts one execution per workflow run regardless of steps, so a 20-step flow costs the same as a two-step one. The Starter plan is EUR 20 a month billed annually for 2,500 executions, and a free Community Edition can be self-hosted from GitHub (n8n pricing).

The trade-off is time. You build and maintain the flows, host them if you self-host, and handle errors. That is a fair swap for a developer who hates metered credits. It is a poor one for a founder who wanted to stop doing work.

Is Gumloop better than Lindy?

Gumloop suits teams that want to build data pipelines and agents on a credit meter, with sharing across a team. In December 2025 it merged its Solo and Team plans into one Pro plan, raised the free tier to 5,000 credits a month, and says all users in an organization share one credit pool (Gumloop).

It still bills credits, so the predictability problem you may be fleeing on Lindy comes with it. We couldn't read Gumloop's live pricing page, so check with Gumloop for the current Pro price and credit counts. Third-party sites quote older plans.

Is Relevance AI a Lindy alternative for sales?

It is the one general platform that pitches itself at sales teams, with unlimited agents and a BDR agent called Bosh. Per our review, Pro was $19 a month billed annually for 2,500 Actions and Team $234 for 7,000, with extra Actions at $80 per 1,000, read on 2026-10-28 (our Relevance AI review).

It still asks you to build. Reviewers report no built-in prospect data or deliverability tooling, and Bosh's page shows no price. Pick it if you have an operator who wants custom agents across sales and ops. For the full picture, read the review.

Should you use Apollo instead of an AI agent for outbound?

Apollo suits teams that want data and sequencing and are fine writing and managing campaigns themselves. Its pricing page describes Free, Basic, Professional and Custom plans with credits pooled across the team, reset each cycle, with no rollover, and admins can cap per-user spending (Apollo pricing).

Email sending on the Free plan is limited to Gmail. The page we read showed no plan prices, so check with Apollo. It's a tool you operate, not an agent that runs outbound, and that's fine if you have a rep doing the operating.

Is Salesforge a good alternative for AI outbound?

Salesforge is two things on one pricing page: a sender and a more autonomous agent. Pro is $40 a month billed monthly with 1,000 active contacts and 5,000 emails. Growth is $80 with 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails. Agent Frank is $499 a month billed quarterly, with 2,000+ contacts a month (Salesforge pricing).

The page says nothing about whether Frank waits for human approval before sending, so ask. Salesforge also publishes comparisons of rival tools, which is worth remembering when you read its Lindy and Relevance AI posts.

Is AiSDR a good Lindy alternative for outbound?

AiSDR is the cleanest pricing in this list for outbound: $1.50 per person prospected, with no monthly fee on pay-as-you-go, and campaigns starting from $7.50. Its page lists AI-researched messaging for each contact, email infrastructure with lookalike domains and a unified inbox for email and LinkedIn (AiSDR pricing).

The same page offers team plans for 1,000+ contacts a month with lower per-contact prices, but gives no figure for them in the text we read, so check with AiSDR. At 500 contacts, $750 is easy to forecast, though it scales linearly if you grow.

Where does Outbound Labs fit?

Outbound Labs fits when you want outbound done with approvals and don't want to build it. Six agents (Researcher, Strategist, Prospector, Writer, Sender, Closer) split the work, you approve every campaign in the app, by email or in Slack, and sending pauses automatically above a 2% bounce rate. See the AI SDR overview for the flow.

Facts to weigh: it is early access with a waitlist, Growth is $149 a month for 5,000 emails ($0.03 per extra), contact data comes from B2B data provider APIs and is billed by the provider, and it is not a general assistant, so it won't manage your calendar. You can start the free trial of 750 emails with no card. We also don't have the track record the older tools here do.

What should an outbound tool have that Lindy lacks?

Four things: contacts, warmed mailboxes, a human approval step and a way to hold the spam rate down. Google tells bulk senders to keep the spam rate in Postmaster Tools below 0.1% and never hit 0.3% (Google). If a tool can draft but can't protect your domain, you are the deliverability team.

Read our guide to AI cold email deliverability and why approvals matter before you send anything at volume. Ask each vendor three questions: where do contacts come from, who warms the mailboxes, and does a human approve before it sends?

How do you choose?

Start from the job. Stay on Lindy if your pain is your own inbox and you can cap credit spend. Move to Zapier or n8n if you want to build automations. Pick an AI SDR if you need meetings, and compare on cost per meeting. Test any option on 20 contacts first, look at what it billed, then scale. The cost per meeting calculator helps with that last step.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free Lindy alternative?
n8n offers a free self-hosted Community Edition on GitHub. Zapier's pricing page lists a Free plan with 100 tasks and 400 agent activities a month, and Gumloop's December 2025 post gives free users 5,000 credits a month. Check each page, since free tiers change often.
Which Lindy alternative is best for cold email?
A tool that brings contacts and sending with it, not a general assistant. AiSDR, Salesforge's Agent Frank and Outbound Labs all describe prospecting plus sending. Compare them on cost per booked meeting, not monthly price.
Does Lindy have a permanent free plan?
Not on its pricing page as of 2026-11-01. It offers $50 in free credits for 7 days, once per teammate. Older reviews that mention a free plan with monthly credits are out of date.
Can Zapier replace Lindy?
For rule-based automation across many apps, often yes. Zapier Agents are billed in activities, with a cap of 40 per run on paid plans, according to its pricing page. For a personal assistant in Slack and iMessage, the products differ, so test your own task.
Are Lindy alternatives lists trustworthy?
Treat them as leads. Most are published by vendors that sell a competitor, and several rankings put the publisher first. Check prices on the vendor's own pricing page and look at the date.
