Short answerExplee is a pay-as-you-go email agent that starts at $30 for 750 emails. 11x is a sales-led platform with no public price, reported at about $36,000 to $60,000 a year. Pick Explee for a cheap, small test; pick 11x only with budget for a contract and a need for voice, chat and more channels.
Key takeaways
- Explee publishes $30 for 750 emails with no subscription; 11x publishes no price, and third parties report roughly $36,000 to $60,000 a year (checked 2026-10-31).
- On Explee's own per-email rate, the email volume MarketBetter attributes to an 11x plan (about 15,000 a month) would cost roughly $600 a month. 11x covers more than email, so this is a ratio, not a verdict.
- Explee's site describes email only; 11x lists voice, chat, SMS, WhatsApp and social as well.
- Explee's Trustpilot page is polarised: 52% five-star and 33% one-star from 46 reviews, with billing and lead-quality complaints.
Short answer. Explee and 11x both pitch an AI that finds prospects and books meetings, but they sit at opposite ends of the market. Explee is a $30, no-subscription email agent. 11x is a demo-led platform with several channels and a price reported in the tens of thousands a year. We sell a third product, so we built this from both vendors' own pages and cited third parties, and we haven't tested either tool. How do Explee and 11x compare side by side?
The gap is price and scope. The table uses what each vendor publishes, checked 2026-10-31. Where a vendor doesn't say, it reads "Check with" that vendor.
| Explee | 11x |
| Entry price | $30 for 750 emails, pay as you go, no subscription | Not published; third parties report about $36,000 to $60,000 a year |

| Starting point | Your website | Your CRM, knowledge base and website activity, per 11x |
| Channels described | Email | Email, voice, chat, social, SMS, WhatsApp |
| Products | Outreach agent; separate B2B database sold as a file | Alice (outbound) and Julian (inbound and expansion) |
| Contact data | Own database, 105M+ companies claimed | Lead database plus third-party signals; a competitor reports third-party providers |

| Human approval before sending | Not described on the site | Check with 11x |
| Integrations listed | None on the pages we read | HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Slack, Gmail, Outlook |
| Contract | None stated | TechCrunch reported 12-month contracts with an opt-out for some customers (March 2025) |
How big is the price gap between Explee and 11x?
Explee charges $30 for 750 emails, about $0.04 each. 11x reportedly starts near $36,000 a year, or $3,000 a month, per SalesRobot, a competitor; MarketBetter reports $50,000 to $60,000. At $36,000, one year of 11x buys 1,200 of Explee's $30 packs, which is 900,000 emails. That is our division, not either vendor's offer.
The comparison flatters Explee on purpose, so here is the fair reading. 11x covers more channels and an inbound agent, and its price includes onboarding with a team. Explee's $30 buys one thing, email, and its site says nothing about a contract or a human on your account. What does the same email volume cost on each?
MarketBetter says an 11x plan covers around 3,000 contacts a month with up to five emails each, so up to 15,000 emails. At Explee's published $0.04 per email that volume costs about $600 a month, against $3,000 or more reported for 11x. Treat it as a ratio. Volume is only part of what 11x sells, and neither number tells you how many meetings you get.
| Monthly emails | Explee at about $0.04 | 11x at reported $3,000+ a month |
| 750 | $30 | Plan sold by contract, not per email |
| 5,000 | $200 | Same |
| 15,000 | $600 | Same |
The right metric is cost per meeting. Explee's pricing page says to expect about 2 to 6 warm leads and about 1 meeting per $30, a vendor estimate we can't verify. Put your own reply and meeting rates into our cost per meeting calculator before you trust either number.
What do reviews say about Explee and 11x?
Explee has a thin but polarised public record. Its Trustpilot page showed 3.5 from 46 reviews on 2026-10-31, with 52% five-star and 33% one-star. Complaints cite lead quality and being charged after a free trial. Praise cites meetings at a reasonable cost and quick founder support. A search extract earlier the same day showed a lower score, so the number moves. We found no Reddit threads on it.
11x has more coverage, much of it from competitors. TechCrunch reported in March 2025 that logos appeared on its site for companies that weren't customers, and that churn was high. 11x said it removed inaccurate mentions and that retention was 79% at the time. That reporting is old, and the company may have changed. The 2024 MIT AI Agent Index listed Alice's safety policies as unknown.
Which gives you more control over what gets sent?
Neither vendor documents a human approval step on the pages we read. Explee's site describes a daily budget, verified addresses only, and pausing of blocklisted or high-bounce mailboxes. One reviewer in a competitor's roundup describes 11x as running on autopilot with no manual review. Before you sign up, ask whether you can read and veto messages before they send, and why it matters is in keeping a human in the loop.
When should you choose Explee, and when 11x?
Choose Explee when you want to test AI outbound for under $100, you're fine with email only, and you'd rather pay per send than sign a contract. Read the free-trial billing terms first. If you're targeting non-English markets, ask support, since one reviewer said it didn't work for theirs.
Choose 11x when you're a funded team with volume, want voice or multi-channel coverage and an inbound agent, will commit to an annual contract, and can negotiate the exit terms. Get the break clause, meeting definition and data source in writing.
Skip both when you need monthly terms with approvals before sending and a middle price. That's the gap our own product targets: Outbound Labs is early access, from $149 a month for 5,000 emails, and you approve every campaign. See Explee alternatives for other options.
What should you ask each vendor before paying?
| Question | Why it matters |
| Can I approve messages before they send? | Neither site documents it |
| Whose domain and mailboxes send? | Explee uses its own pre-warmed mailboxes; you may not keep them if you leave |
| What exactly is billed after a free trial? | A Trustpilot reviewer reports a charge the day after a trial |
| What counts as a meeting? | Cost per meeting depends on the definition |
| Where do contacts come from? | Data quality drives replies and compliance |
What do the vendor pages leave out?
Both sites are marketing pages, and both skip things a buyer needs. Explee's pricing page doesn't state contract terms, credit expiry, integrations or trial terms, and its home page gives no founder names, although a reviewer says a founder emailed them on day three. Its claims of a 97% inbox rate and a median $9 cost per hot lead are vendor figures we can't verify. Its database figures also vary between pages, with 105M+ companies in one place and 400M+ people in another.
11x's page lists pipeline figures such as $4M generated and a 9.7% reply rate in a testimonial, again unverified, and it links to a security page we didn't assess. Ask each vendor for written definitions of "lead", "hot lead" and "meeting". Without one, a 5x jump in qualified meetings and a $9 hot lead can mean very different things.
How would you run a fair test between the two?
Run the cheap one first, with a pass mark written before you start. Spend the $30 Explee pack on one segment and one offer, then record replies, meetings held and cost per meeting after 30 days. Reviews say results can take a few weeks, so don't judge it on day three. If the numbers clear your break-even, you have evidence to take into a demo with 11x or anyone else.
When you do talk to 11x, bring the figure you measured. A buyer who knows their cost per meeting is in a much stronger position to ask what an annual contract adds, and what the exit costs at month three. Work the break-even yourself with the same calculator and the table in our 11x piece.
Frequently asked questions
Is Explee a cheaper version of 11x?
On entry price, yes by a wide margin: $30 against a reported $36,000 or more a year. They are not like-for-like though. Explee's site describes email outreach from its own database, while 11x lists several channels and an inbound agent.
Does either tool require human approval before sending?
Neither vendor documents an approval step on the pages we read. Explee describes a daily budget and mailbox pausing. Ask each vendor whether you can review messages before they go out.
Which one has its own contact database?
Explee says its leads come from its own database of 105M+ companies. 11x lists a real-time company and lead database, and MarketBetter reports it relies on third-party data providers. Ask 11x where your contacts come from.
Can I try either for free?
Explee's pricing page says to try for free but gives no terms, and one Trustpilot reviewer says they were charged the day after a free trial. 11x is demo-first; a spokesperson told TechCrunch most middle-market customers get free trials. Confirm terms in writing.
